The impression I got from TMobile is that you have to buy $100 in smaller increments (more expensive per minute and shorter expiration) first before you can go for the 1000 minute for $100 and good for a year. (I'm guessing that enough people did what is described above, and TMobile adjusted their options.) The store, NC dealer, Page Plus and Emida/Debisys should be shot! Page Plus is a problem.
