  • Blogging Help: A chance to earn $100 or more

Posted by Frugal on August 14th, 2006

Do you want to earn $100 or more? Here is your chance.

I noticed from various sources that my Adsense Revenue is probably about only one third (or less) of what it could potentially be. While I love to deal with all the technical details that may involve, I simply don’t have time to do it myself. Instead of letting my blog keep languishing in style & revenues, I want to ask helps from any bloggers or web designers to help me out. I will pay the higher of the following two:

    1. $100 (the least that you can get, assuming you meet the performance goal)
    2. Two months of the additional Adsense Revenue (and any other new Ad revenues for 3.5 months) generated on my site, using August or the latest month as the baseline. Plus 3% of my total Adsense Revenue for 6 months following that.

I’m fairly certain that the second option will pay you more and maybe a lot more. But you don’t need to worry which option you need to choose, because at the minimum, you can get paid $100, provided that My Adsense Revenue improved by at least 50% on a pro-rated . If it’s below 50%, you still get paid, but the amount will be linearly pro-rated by the percentage of improvement down to $30. So if you improve the revenue by 25%, which is only 50% of the goal, I will pay you ($100+$30)/2 = $65.

To throw in an added bonus, I will place a link on my right column to your blog, indicating that you have helped me designed my web page. Or any other ways of promotion that is sensible.

    The minimum job requirement is:

    1. Redesigned my web page, which is WordPress based. I have found a different WP template that I like, but if you think you have a better one, I’m willing to take a look.
    2. I want various social bookmarking links at each article.
    3. I like to have some headline links that what I have right now at the home page.
    4. Help me move my current-networth, plot out the historical chart, and my financial calculator pages into the WP page, instead of having them standalone. If not, help me improve the existing designs.
    5. Help me add several plugins including a dlc-related and democracy 2.0 plugin for online survey, and top-comment/top-posts plugins, or something silimiar to those utilities.
    6. And help me place ads and/or improve AdSense search keywords, and/or any other web traffic promotion.
    7. All related source codes must be made royalty-free to me, and also understandable to me.
    8. Agree to have a post-work support for 4 months if I find out any problems or questions. Most likely I won’t have any questions because I don’t have much time, but just in case.

If you think you can do at least 90% of the above, please feel free to contact me. Obviously, I want to get the best that I can get. If you do a good job for my web pages, and can improve my Ad revenue by 200% OR improve my web traffics by 200% for on a consistent basis (maintained for 3 consecutive months), I will pay you 1 more month in #2 choice as an added bonus. Right now, my best estimate for my AdSense Revenue is 0.27 cents per pageview, and 0.71 cents per visits. If you think you can improve it, please send me your number & your blogsite, so that I can make a decision. All information will be treated as totally confidential.

The measurement on the performance of the Ad improvement will be weighted on a 65% pageview, and 35% visits basis. I have not thought of a good way to separate the improvement of web traffics from my own efforts yet. If you want to target for that, give me a good metrics to measure it. Assuming that you can improve the ad revenue by 200% to a weighted average of (1 + 200%) * (65% * 0.27 cents + 35% * 0.71 cents) = 3 * 0.424 cents = 1.272 cents, potentially you could be looking at some $400 compensation or more, not including any other new Ad revenues.

Now, you can get the benefits from my growing readerships, and ad improvement. I have tried to make this as a very good deal to the person who help me.

I will open this job request until about mid-September. It is possible to negotiate with me on the details of compensation if you think that will provide added incentive for you to perform. No advanced payment will be made until 4 months of period has passed for evaluation and fraud prevention.

Please pass the word around. I really appreciate it.

in my opinion, $100 is not quite enough for the ammount of work that you’re asking for. you’re not asking for JUST optimizing for adsense, you’re asking for someone to completely overhaul your blog and install/configure new plugins. this stuff takes time.

i would consider doing it if it were more around $200 or $250.

I’m pretty sure that you can get more than $100. I own estimate for this job is some $300 to $400 assuming that the Google Adsense is improved a lot. I’ve compared my stats to a couple of other sites.
It seems to be a pretty doable goal. Obviously, you can’t get something for nothing, right?
