  • Worse than Bad Credit – Can’t Open a Bank Account

Posted by Frugal on October 8th, 2006

I just learned something from a very good personal finance site at It’s Just Money, where lamoneyguy blogs at. What’s worse than having a bad credit? Can’t even open a bank account because of a bad record in the ChexSystems. You cannot even look up your own record like your credit reports. Check out this article: Staying Out of ChexSystems here.

Be sure to look around at his site for more tips!

It makes no sense having to check your credit just to get a checking account. Let me get this correct, you must have good credit to give someone money to hold for you and for you to spend your own money. Kinda of confused.

??? Did you read that link? Opening the checking account has nothing to do with your credit. I’m saying that it’s worse than bad credits, because at least for bad credits you can see them and try to fix them.
