Your approach is looking very close to mine  -the important thing is to develop an approach that fits your psychology and exploits available sources of return - the markets in general - other good asset managers who do exist - and your own edge - and to diversify across these. Trying to time the market by switching your whole portfolio one way and then the other is either too hard or tax inefficient because markets remain irrational for long periods. But I think you know all this already. I learnt the hard way :)</description>
