From where I sit in TN, he is quite popular with the NRA gun crowd. What I <i>dislike</i> about him is his anti-free trade stance. He reminds me too much of Pat Buchanan when he starts talking about "economic protectionism." Being a libertarian is fantastic; he should apply the idea to <b>all</b> areas of his financial policy. But he is the best hope/shot (I think) that can turn America around. I'm much more concerned about United States as a whole, than Ron Paul's election. But because of all of my concerns, I am putting my support behind Ron Paul. By the way, only a disclaimer: I certainly don't agree with Ron Paul on every point. But since when can you find another person that would agree with you completely on everything? Probably not even your own self, and certainly not the wife, :). Yes, Ron Paul is no messiah.
