I have pledged myself to the Tea Party 2007 at http://www.teaparty07.com/ to donate to Ron Paul for at least $100 on Dec 16th.

Getting rid of IRS is certainly possible, but it cannot be done in 1 presidential term. One must transition from income tax slowly to national sales tax. Consumption tax is a better tax. Income tax discourages earning and saving, and the rich people knows their ways around all the loop holes in income taxes, but there won't be any for sales taxes. If one is rich and wants to spend more, one can afford to pay more sales tax.

There have been many debates on the tax system, and my opinions rest on sales tax.

Grant,

I think one of the downfalls of the American voter is they elect folks to office under the idea that big changes cannot be made to the system. This is the same thing people say about losing weight or improving their finances. It is too hard...can't be done.

We, as voters, need to keep our government in check. Congress is bankrupting us. We have only ourselves to blame for this as we vote them into office. Ron Paul is the only fiscal conservative amongst the group.

While I think well intentioned, I see Mr. Paul as underestimating the complexity of the changes he wishes to make. (Remember Ross Perot?)

Until I see a cut and dry plan on how exactly Paul expects to, for instance, eliminate the IRS, I will reserve my own judgment on who the "most honest man in politics" title should be awarded.

Count me in too as a Ron Paul supporter. Government can only screw things up, so a candidate willing to reduce the size of government has my vote. Plus he's the only one in the race that doesn't sound like he's completely full of crap.

i know that the "system" is set, and change is not possible easily.

but i hope, more than anything thus far in my life, that this happens. If Ron Paul were to actually get elected, which I dont think either party would let happen, and could get accomplished what he strives for, it just might save this country from it's ultimate demise.

Thank you for spreading the word. More people need to hear about Ron Paul, rather than all the BS on the news about Hillary and Obama.
